Kimberly Weller, Ph.D.
Specializing in the field the organizational communication, Dr. Weller has taught over 40 courses throughout her nearly 25-year academic career. She first joined Queens University in 2001 as an adjunct instructor and grew steadily more immersed in the Queens community until she joined the Knight School of Communication as a full-time faculty member in 2009.
Dr. Weller's specialty areas are strategic communication and organizational learning. Her recent graduate course offerings surround topics including organizational identity and branding, storytelling, organizational development, leadership, talent development, creativity and innovation, crisis management and social entrepreneurship.
Dr. Weller is passionate about studying the transformative effects of an unprecedented
rate of marketplace and communication technology change on business management and
culture, as well as on the lives of employees. Believing that tomorrow’s great ideas
will come from embracing an entrepreneurial spirit that encourages risk taking, innovation,
and pursuing one’s passions, she loves helping people create, implement, and market
their ideas and enterprises.
She serves as a strategic communication consultant helping organizations craft creative brands and stories. She also works with business leaders to cultivate innovative organizational learning experiences and entrepreneurial workplace cultures. Dr. Weller’s other professional experience includes marketing, public relations and advertising.
