Our candidates also dive into implementing specific strategies for a hands-on, authentic literacy approach in their classrooms. This practice scaffolds candidates\u2019 learning by helping them develop innovative approaches and perspectives for teaching literacy.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At Queens, you\u2019ll work directly with faculty who have decades of teaching and research experience and have been in your current position as K-12 educators and coaches, facilitators, specialty leaders, and administrators. As professional developers, they work with school administrators and teachers in local districts and schools. This ensures they keep current on standards, best practices, and recent education trends.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our certificate program aligns with NC standards for Reading K-12 Teacher Candidates, Professional Teaching Standards, and Graduate Standards.
