Byrum Hall
Sitting high atop the rest of the campus is Byrum Hall. This residence hall for upperclassmen is situated on floors six and seven above the Byrum Parking Deck and offers students options more akin to apartment living than in other residence halls. These super suite rooms are high enough up that students can see the Charlotte skyline peeking out above the trees from their windows.
Byrum Gallery
Both floors in Byrum, the most recently built residence hall, are identical. Students come off the elevator and enter the student recreational space and lobby, then head down the hallways lined with suites in either direction. Residents will live in one of two suite-style room types, either in doubles or singles. Two doubles are connected by a joined common area, and four singles share one common area. The common areas in these rooms come with a small living room area, a full-sized fridge, microwave, and a bathroom with separate shower. There is also a kitchen area on both floors for students to use, as well as laundry and trash rooms, and multiple study rooms.
Opened in September 2012 as South Residence Hall, Porter B. Byrum Hall was renamed to honor Queens' largest donor.
