Sports Complex & Conference Center

Conveniently located in the Madison Park neighborhood near Queens' main campus, the Queens Sports Complex at Marion Diehl Park is one of the largest athletic venues in the region. It offers a world-class multi-sport championship field, cross-country course, a grass practice field, and a 14,000 square-foot conference center.

The complex is the home field for seven Royals athletics teams. It also provides an excellent location for regional, national, and NCAA-sanctioned sporting events, and has already served as a host site for the State Games of North Carolina. One field is adaptable for use by disabled athletes.

Ideally located in a central area of Charlotte, and nestled behind a bank of trees along 2229 Tyvola Road, the sports complex also offers a convenient, modern conference location with abundant parking for Charlotte area businesses planning off-site events.  The 300-seat meeting facility can be configured for awards dinners, business events, or receptions.

Finally, the Sports Complex is home to Rex, the world's largest standing lion sculpture.
