The law has been interpreted to protect individuals from discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity as well as pregnancy or related conditions. The Campus SaVE Act requires universities to provide awareness programming, equal rights and opportunities for parties during grievance procedures, and annual training for officials implementing the grievance procedures related to sexual assault, dating violence, domestic violence, and stalking. Those laws also prohibit discrimination based on disability in employment.
