Jan 27, 2022 By Queens University Communications

Online master’s programs at Queens University of Charlotte continue to rise according to U.S News & World Report’s just-released “2022 Best Online Programs” rankings.

The U.S. News & World Report rankings evaluate online public and private colleges and universities with degree-granting bachelor’s and master’s degree programs. Categories include programs in business, information technology, criminal justice, education, engineering, and nursing.

Three Queens University programs named among the best in the nation by U.S. News made significant increases. The online MBA program at Queens is now in the top third in the nation, moving from 117 in 2021 to 105 in 2022 out of 328 institutions in that category. Queens’ master’s in education leadership moved up 47 spots over its 2021 ranking to No. 140. Queens’ master’s in nursing programs also jumped 16 spots from No. 115 to No. 99.

“These rankings validate that Queens University is on the move as it strives to meet the talent demands of the growing Charlotte region and well beyond,” says Melissa McCartney, assistant provost for online learning and graduate studies. “Over the past two years, as students have had to navigate the impacts of the pandemic, our ability to respond and adapt to the demand for flexibility has become even more important. I’m very proud of how Queens has not only risen to the occasion but has been recognized nationally for it.”

U.S. News & World Report assessed schools based on criteria such as student engagement, student services and technology, admissions selectivity, faculty credentials and training, and peer reputation.
