In-Classroom Learning. Off-Campus Experiences.
Ranked #13 by U.S. News & World Report among regional universities in the South, Queens is an incredible value for many reasons – especially our individualized approach. It’s through close relationships with peers and faculty that every student here feels like valued, supported and challenged.
Firmly grounded in liberal arts, Queens delivers an innovative general education that fosters dialogue and critical thinking. With 42 majors, 63 minors and numerous graduate and certificate programs, there are unlimited possibilities to grow academically and socially. Backed by our inimitable Yes/And Initiative, students can engage in a unique combination of transformative experiences, both in and out of the classroom.

At Queens, our general education (GenEd) approach is different than other universities’ distribution requirements. We have a unique, topic-based format that fosters interdisciplinary dialogue and critical thinking, and culminates in a senior year capstone project.
100% of our undergraduates complete internships – thanks to Charlotte’s amazing growth in all industries, and our Vandiver Center for Career Development. Together, they provide the perfect backdrop to give you the resources and connections to make it happen.
South Africa, Peru, Spain, Japan? Somewhere else? Study abroad is a core part of the Queens experience. We believe in a global perspective so much that we provide undergraduate students with a fund that covers most of the cost of an international experience.
A signature part of your Queens education is our Yes/And pathway: engage in transformative experiences, both in and out of the classroom, and connect those experiences to five signature attributes. You’ll become an agile thinker who is honorably engaged, globally minded, professionally adept, and civically minded.
Queens’ small size means phenomenal, individualized attention on every front, including the resources to help you deliver your best in the classroom. Before you even join us on campus, we can tailor a plan that’s designed and dedicated to your success.
