Day of Scholarship & Service

The Day of Scholarship and Service represents everything the Queens motto, “Not to be served, but to serve,” stands for. Designed to showcase our students’ academic achievements while giving back to the surrounding community, the event proves that academic research and community impact are not separate pursuits, but two halves of a singular mission: to learn deeply and serve boldly. In the morning, students seek the truth through research; in the afternoon, they turn that strength outward to support global neighbors in need, living and breathing the true spirit of Queens.

Queens’s third annual Day of Scholarship & Service will be held on Tuesday, April 27, 2027.

Daytime classes will not meet on the 27th so that the entire Queens community can participate in the day’s activities. In the morning, learn from your fellow students as they present their research and creative work, or share something yourself. After a community lunch, everyone is invited to participate in a campus-wide service project.

Have a research or creative project you’d like to present?
