Biography

Dr. Ben Grannan joined the McColl School of Business in fall 2022 as an Assistant Professor of Business Analytics. With an interest in applying Operations Research methods to solve problems, Dr. Grannan’s research program focuses on the creation of novel resource allocation and optimization models for business, healthcare, and sports applications. His scholarly activity has been published in the INFORMS Journal on Applied Analytics, Optimization Letters, Healthcare Management Science, and the Journal of Sports Analytics.

Before joining Queens University of Charlotte, Dr. Grannan taught full-time at Furman University and the Virginia Military Institute, as well as an Online Adjunct Professor for graduate business programs at Wake Forest University and the College of William & Mary.

Dr. Grannan majored in Math at Lynchburg College and earned his Ph.D. in Systems Modeling & Analysis at Virginia Commonwealth University.
