Biography

Dr. Loretta Evivie joined the McColl School of Business in fall 2022 as Professor of Practice of Leadership in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. In this new role, she will teach a mix of business and general education courses with the goal of infusing leadership, diversity, equity and inclusion across the curriculum. She will also work closely with the Charlotte Talent Initiative (CTI) and the Leadership Passport Program (LEAPP) among others.

Her prior academic experience includes 19 years in higher education in administration and teaching a variety of business, international business, management, organizational behavior, entrepreneurship and corporate finance courses at the graduate and undergraduate levels. Her prior industry experience includes leadership positions in non-profit and healthcare, an entrepreneur, personal financial/investment analyst, insurance agent, accountant, tax auditor and auditor.

Her professional/research interests include the post-secondary education achievement gap, higher education/curriculum relevancy in developing countries and girls’ education and empowerment.
