Leah Brackett

Assistant Athletic Director for Sport Administration/Director of Campus Recreation

Leah Brackett joined the Royals in July 2022 as the Assistant Athletic Director for Club Sports & Wellness, bringing over 16 years of experience in campus recreation, student development, and competitive sports management. In this role, she provides leadership for club sports and emerging NCAA programs, oversees operations at the Levine Center for Wellness and Recreation, and spearheads student employee development initiatives.

Before joining Queens, Brackett was a key leader at the University of Maine at Farmington (UMF), where she enhanced recreational programs, improved student engagement in intramural sports, and developed a student leadership pipeline that equipped employees with transferable management skills. She also expanded community partnerships, securing camp scholarships and organizing large-scale events that increased UMF’s presence beyond campus.

Brackett’s career in recreation and wellness began with the Boys & Girls Club/YMCA in Waterville, Maine, and the City of Manhattan Beach Parks and Recreation Department, where she managed diverse programming for youth, teens, and seniors.

A former collegiate basketball player, Brackett attended Keene State College before transferring to the University of Vermont, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Outdoor Recreation Management.

Passionate about fostering student growth through recreation and wellness, she continues to create meaningful opportunities for engagement, leadership, and community connection at Queens University.
