Book Development Graduate Certificate

What You’ll Study

If you’ve written the first draft of your book, maybe even a second or third, and agents show interest but ultimately pass. Or if you are a poet but can’t seem to get to first place or publication, this graduate certificate is the perfect program to give your writing the career the support it needs. Our program meets the needs of committed and professional creative writers who have drafted a book-length manuscript and who will benefit from honing their craft while immersed in a community of fellow writers. This special program pairs a writer with an editor from a major publishing house to help take your manuscript to the next level.

Past editors have come from Henry Holt, Farrar Straus & Giroux, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Red Hen, Viking, Penguin, and Riverhead.
