We’re excited to welcome you to Family & Friends Weekend 2026! Family & Friends Weekend is an exciting annual event at Queens University of Charlotte, offering students, families, and friends the opportunity to come together and experience the vibrant campus life. Throughout the weekend, you will enjoy a variety of activities, sporting events, social gatherings, and special programs designed to showcase the university community. It’s a chance for families to reconnect, make lasting memories, and engage with the Queens experience in a fun, welcoming environment.

Schedule of Events

3:00-7:00 p.m. | Royal Welcome Check-In

Start your weekend by picking up your materials and official swag! Our friendly team will help get you settled and ready to enjoy the festivities.

5:00-7:00 p.m. | F&FW Cookout

Join us for a gathering on the lawn as we kickoff a fun-filled Family & Friends Weekend!

6:00-8:00 p.m. | Talent Show with Campus Union Board

Grab your dinner and come listen to some of our amazing student performers.

7:00 p.m. | Women’s Field Hockey vs. Davidson College
Bessant Field, Queens University Sports Complex

Start the weekend with an exciting Royals matchup highlighting Field Hockey’s 10-Year Program Celebration.

8:30-10:00 p.m. | Royals Bonfire with Residence Life

Wrap up the night by joining Residence Life for a cozy evening around the fire pit! Enjoy music with a DJ, and snacks as we dance and gather around the fire.

9:00-10:00 a.m. | Royal Welcome Check-In

Late arrival? No worries, grab your materials and say hello to the Student Life team.

8:45 a.m. | Stretch & Shine: Yoga for All

Unwind with a morning yoga session designed for all levels perfect for centering your weekend energy.

10:00 a.m. | Family & Friends Town Hall

Join our university administration as they share more information about the recent announcement of the Queens University of Charlotte and Elon University proposed merger.

11:00 a.m. | Men & Women’s Swimming vs. Davidson College
Levine Aquatic Center

Get in on the action and watch your Royals compete in the water!

11:00 a.m. | Women’s Rugby vs. Sacred Heart University
Dickson Field, Queens University Sports Complex

Get ready to cheer on your Royals as they take the field in their third matchup of the season!

11:00 a.m. | Global Royals: JBIP Panel

Explore how students grow through global learning with the John Belk International Program featuring faculty and staff stories from their study abroad experience.

11:30 a.m. | Internships Unpacked: Career Panel

Hear from students about internship experiences that shape career paths and future success.

12:00-2:00 p.m. | Bingo & Bites

Fuel up with lunch and join us for a high-energy round of Bingo. Fun, food, and prizes for all ages!

12:00 p.m. | Women’s Volleyball vs. University of West Florida
Curry Arena, Levine Center

Rally around the Royals as they take the court for their alumni recognition game.

2:00 p.m. | Queens Service in Action: Presentation and Service Project

Come learn what we mean by our motto “Non ministrari sed ministrare”, or “not to be served, but to serve” by joining us for a meaningful service activity. While doing the service project, we will also share a presentation about the many ways that we give back to the community through service and civic engagement.

5:00 p.m. | Fan Fest with Student-Athlete Advisory Committee

6:00 p.m. | Men’s Soccer vs. Florida Gulf Coast University
Dickson Field, Queens University Sports Complex

Cheer on your Royals as they take the field for their White Out game. Wear white (or your F&FW shirt)!
