We’re excited to welcome you to Family & Friends Weekend 2025! Family & Friends Weekend is an exciting annual event at Queens University of Charlotte, offering students, families, and friends the opportunity to come together and experience the vibrant campus life. Throughout the weekend, you will enjoy a variety of activities, our Royals Rise: D1 Celebration, sporting events, social gatherings, and special programs designed to showcase the university community. It’s a chance for families to reconnect, make lasting memories, and engage with the Queens experience in a fun, welcoming environment.

Royal Welcome Check-In

Start your weekend by picking up your materials and official swag! Our friendly team will help get you settled and ready to enjoy the festivities.

ALL IN: D1 Celebration

Join us for a party on the lawn as we officially celebrate Queens’ transition to NCAA Division I with food, music, games, and Royal pride!

Ring Ceremony: 2024-2025 ASUN Men’s Swimming & Diving Champions

Celebrate the achievements of our Queens Men’s Swimming & Diving team as they receive their conference championship rings in this special moment of recognition.

Whistling Hens: Big Crass Monster
3:30 p.m. | Greenhoot Recital Hall

Whistling Hens was founded by soprano Jennifer Piazza-Pick and clarinetist Natalie Groom to celebrate and advance the artistic accomplishments of women through an ensemble that performs and commissions music by women composers. Inspired by a quote from a male music critic who said of Lili Boulanger in 1918, “women composers are at best whistling hens,” the Whistling Hens duo was hatched. Since its founding in 2018, Whistling Hens has premiered 29 pieces and commissioned 14 compositions, 10 transcriptions, the Whistling Hens Women Composer Coloring Book, and inspired 17 dedicated works.

Registration

Registration is $45 per person and includes an official Family & Friends Weekend t-shirt, a weekend pass for all Queens athletic competitions, two meal tickets (Friday dinner and Saturday lunch), access to all scheduled events, including campus activities, panels, and entertainment, and a memorable experience on campus.

Be sure to complete your registration by September 15. We can’t wait to see you for an unforgettable weekend!

Currently enrolled students can participate in Family & Friends Weekend for FREE!

1.  Under New User, select the green ‘Register for a Program’ button.
2.  Select ‘2025 Family & Friends Weekend (September 26-28, 2025)’.
3.  Select ‘Continue’.
4.  Complete all required participant details.
5.  Select your T-shirt size.
6.  Select ‘Continue’ or ‘Register Another Person’ if you need to add additional participants.
7.  Accept or Decline the Registration Fee Protection option.
8.  Select the ‘Credit Card’ button and enter your credit card information.
9.  Select ‘Review’ to ensure all details are correct.
10.  Select ‘Complete Registration’ to finalize your submission.
