Dear Future Alumni

Dear Future Alumni,

During their time at Queens, every student experiences a distinctive journey. Yours may be highlighted by a transformative professor, an eye-opening internship, explorations while studying abroad, excellence with athletics or the creation of strong, enduring friendships. Your experience may have been in a graduate program, where you also worked full-time, or you may be the first person in your family to earn a college degree while studying on campus here in Charlotte.

Students at Commencement

Whatever your path, you are a Queens student for a short period of time, but you will be a member of the Queens alumni community for life! When you become a member of the Alumni Association, I encourage you to stay connected to Queens through social media, chapter programming, and events on campus. Also, now that Queens athletics teams compete on the NCAA Division I level in the Atlantic Sun Conference, you can expect to see Queens teams here in Charlotte, across the country, and on your screen at home. I would love to keep you engaged as an advocate and volunteer, living up to our motto, “Not to be served, but to serve.” You can help recruit the next generation of Royals, volunteer with one of our alumni chapters, help the Vandiver Center for Career Development, or simply wear your Queens gear. I hope you will also support students, as I do, by becoming a donor to the Queens Fund. Generations of alumni have invested in you with their time and resources. Now, you have an opportunity to do the same! Finally, please keep the alumni office updated if you move, start a new job, change your email address, or celebrate a milestone such as a wedding or promotion. You can always direct questions about resources and opportunities to the staff in the Office of Alumni Relations by emailing alumni@queens.edu or visiting the Advancement website.

Congratulations on your upcoming commencement and Go Royals!
