Belk Residence Hall

Belk Residence Hall opened in 1954 and honors the late Mrs. William Henry Belk, an alumna, trustee, and benefactor. Belk Hall was a gift to Queens from her sons and daughters.

Belk houses approximately 80 first-year students in a corridor-style living. Each floor is made up of just one long hallway of double rooms with two sets of movable furniture that can be lofted. Each room has two closets, one for each roommate. Residents share communal bathrooms and showers on their floors. The 2nd floor of Belk is female-only.

The basement is where you will find the laundry room and a large student recreational room, complete with a pool table. This common room is always unlocked and available for all students on campus to use.

Belk is supported by two Resident Assistants (RAs) on each floor.

Belk is the northernmost building on campus and is located off of the Residential Quad.

Please keep in mind these are general estimates as room sizes and furniture may vary slightly based on location within the building and furniture replacement. Furniture is measured in inches while room dimensions are in feet.
