Cynthia Jones

Cynthia Jones

Associate Dean, Students for Residence Life & Housing

Cynthia Jones started her higher education journey at Methodist University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in athletic training, going on to serve as a teacher and Athletic Trainer at a local high school for several years. She then pursued her master’s degree in Higher Education Administration at Louisiana State University. Her experience in Higher Ed includes several North Carolina colleges and universities, and her primary goal as a life-long learner is to foster positive student experiences in their own higher-ed journeys. She enjoys athletics, music, working collaboratively, and being a resource to others while positively challenging and empowering others to grow and develop personally and professionally.

Hannah Epstein started her journey in Higher Education in 2018 when she attended Sweet Briar College, where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus in Educational Leadership. Following her undergraduate degree, Hannah attended the University of South Florida, where she pursued a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in College Student Affairs. Hannah is passionate about helping students develop holistically and empowering them during their collegiate journey. Hannah is excited about being a part of the Queens Community and providing a great residential experience for students!

Assistant Director, Training & Selection

Berkeley Kelsey started their journey in Residence Life in 2023, where they attended Lenoir-Rhyne University in Hickory, NC. They obtained a dual bachelor’s degree in Religious Studies and Politics & International Relations. Following their undergraduate degree, Berkeley is currently pursuing their Master of Divinity at Iliff School of Theology in Denver, CO. Professionally, Berkeley comes from Wofford College in Spartanburg, SC, where they served as a Residence Life Coordinator for Fraternity and Sorority Life. Berkeley loves helping students develop professionally and guiding them through their next collegiate steps. Berkeley is excited to be a part of the Queens experience!

Ryan Spangler

Assistant Director, Residence Life & Housing – Residential Curriculum

Ryan Spangler started his journey in higher education in 2023 when he attended Queens University of Charlotte to obtain his master’s degree in communication. During this time, he also worked as a Graduate Hall Director, overseeing residential curriculum. Ryan is Passionate about helping students be the best version of themselves and using residential curriculum to help students grow not just in the classrooms but in the residence halls as well.

Director, Community Standards & Support

Leigh Tan started her journey in Higher Education in 2017 when she attended Appalachian State University, where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations. While attending undergrad, Leigh was involved in University Housing and other leadership positions across App State. Following her undergraduate degree, Leigh stayed at Appalachian State to pursue her Master of Arts in Student Affairs Administration. Leigh is passionate about helping students with college accessibility and first-generation college students, as she is one herself! Leigh is excited about being part of the Queens Community and continuing to make a difference in the lives of students.
