Meet the Team
Angela Tsuei-Strause
Senior Director
Angela joined Queens in 2013 and leads the career office’s strategic efforts to support students, alumni and employers. She is particularly interested in partnering with employer connections to prepare students for post-graduation success. Prior to Queens, Angela headed Parsons School of Design’s career office in New York. Angela holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Cornell University and a Master of Science in Organization Development from Queens. She is additionally a member of Leadership Charlotte. In her spare time, Angela enjoys her family, gardening, reading Wikipedia and interior decorating.

Jennifer Bard
Associate Director, Internship Program
Jenn joined the Queens team in September 2026. Jenn did not travel too far to join the Queens team: she came from Elon University, where she worked as the Assistant Director of Internships for the Love School of Business. She is passionate about helping students develop professionally, especially within their internships, and helping them articulate their strengths for a successful future.
Jenn has a bachelor’s degree in sport management from Syracuse University and a master’s degree in higher education from DeSales University. Jenn is originally from Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, and is a passionate Philadelphia Eagles fan. In her free time, she enjoys hot yoga, reading, and exploring the outdoors with friends and family.

Jackson Mair
Career Services Coordinator
Jackson Mair joined Queens in 2026. He works with the office to welcome students, create marketing for the Center’s many student-oriented events, and support the department’s projects and events. Before joining the team, Jackson was a Media Specialist for Appalachian State University. Jackson is a Charlotte native and spent four years in Boone as he worked to graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from Appalachian State University, as well as the Appalachian Honors college. Now back in his hometown, Jackson enjoys writing books, playing tennis and ping pong, and playing the cello.

Hannah Slaton
Assistant Director, Career Readiness & Planning
Hannah Slaton joined Queens in October 2022 and brings connection-driven career readiness and planning resources to students and alumni. Hannah focuses on building relationships with students and alumni, faculty, and staff, and loves to create a colorful and welcoming atmosphere in her office. She is originally from the mountains of Western NC and moved to the Charlotte area to study psychology and Spanish at Wingate University before completing her master’s degree in Counseling at UNC Charlotte. In her spare time, Hannah loves to take walks with her dog Maverick, attend Charlotte sporting events, hike and camp with family in the mountains, and go to fitness classes at her local YMCA.

Jordyn Wheeler
Associate Director, Employer Engagement
Jordyn joined Queens in 2026 and brings a robust talent development and recruitment perspective. Most recently, she was a talent manager at PwC, where she implemented early career strategies and supported pipelines to key leadership potential roles. Additionally, Jordyn’s background includes a Master’s in Higher Education from UT-Austin and work in both academic advising and career coaching. She originates from the greater Charlotte area and loves being home with her family and friends. On the weekends, you can find her running or walking around Charlotte, or trying a new coffee shop.
