Queens’ Tenth QUnited Giving Day Exceeds $500,000 Goal
The Queens Community showed up in a big way for QUnited 2024, our milestone tenth year gathering on campus and around the world to celebrate students, faculty, and staff.
At the end of the day on February 29 over 1,000 donors from all 50 states gave over $540,000! This amazing accomplishment means that over ten years QUnited has raised over $2 million to support transformational educational experiences at Queens.

Queens Names Michael P. Rizer Trustee Emeritus. On February 21 Michael “Mike” P. Rizer was recognized as last year’s singular new Trustee Emeritus. Rizer, executive director of corporate citizenship at Ally Charitable Foundation, served two terms on Queens’ Board of Trustees from 2015-2023.
Professor Empowering First-Gen Students in the Sciences. Yvette Clifton, Ph.D., assistant professor of chemistry and general education, provides a supportive environment to discuss challenges, explore ideas or simply connect for all of her students.
ACCIS College Counselors Converge on Queens Campus. For the second year in a row, Queens welcomed visiting college counselors from the Association of College Counselors in Independent Schools (ACCIS) for an Equity and Innovation Summit.
Two Davies Fellows Cultivate Meaningful Conversation and Community Programming on Campus. After applying for the Davies Fellowship, Maggie Dineen ‘25 and Sophie Lange ‘24 were given the opportunity to reflect on their own faith-based or philosophical values while serving as campus leaders, engaging in community outreach, and researching in academic and co-curricular settings.
Easter Egg Hunt on March 23. The 27th Annual event includes face painting and photos with both the Easter Bunny and Rex. Activities start at 9:30 am and the hunt begins at 10:00 am.
Men’s Lacrosse Hosts Jacksonville on April 6. This game’s noon start will be the team’s third home ASUN Conference matchup this season and the last home game before Mercer on April 20.
